Our Earths Future - A Conversation about Climate Change

On December 1, we’re opening the doors of our online classroom and inviting you to join us for a Google+ Hangout event: Our Earths FutureA Conversation about Climate part of the curriculum in the American Museum of Natural Historys online course Our Earths Future, scientists will discuss lessons learned from Hurricane Sandy and the link between climate change and extreme weather events. This Hangout event will be hosted live from the Museums newest exhibition, Natures Fury: The Science of Natural Disasters, which investigates how natures forces shape our dynamic by Catherine Pomposi, doctoral candidate the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences at Columbia University, the panel includes Our Earth’s Future course instructor Debra Tillinger, physics professor at Marymount Manhattan College, and Radley Horton, associate research scientist at the Center for Climate Systems Research at Columbia are encouraged to participate. Submit questions and comments on the Hangout page before or during the event.
